In cases where an ABI cannot be fetched for whatever reason, the event handler exits early. Would be better if this didn't happen. Trying to track down where in the nested functions it has to be fixed.

Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
